The 2025 Wimbledon Championships are the 138th edition of the prestigious tournament. It is one of four Grand Slam tennis tournaments held annually in Wimbledon, London. The other tournaments include the US Open, Australian Open and Roland-Garros.

DATES:   JUNE 30 – JUNE 13, 2025

VENUE:   All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon, London

SCHEDULE:   It begins with two days of Gentlemen’s and Ladies Singles matches                                     before Gentlemen’s and Ladies Doubles start on Wednesday. Mixed                                     doubles then start on Friday. The Junior Championships (18 and                                             under)  will begin on Saturday 5 July.

                            In the second week tournaments for wheelchair competitors and 14                                    and under juniors will take place.

GROUNDS:    The Grounds are owned by The All England Lawn Tennis Ground                                           Plc. They consist of the main site on Church Road, Wimbledon and                                       the All England Community Sports Ground (AECSG) in Raynes                                             Park.

ROYAL BOX:  The Royal Box has been used for the friends and guests of Wimbledon                               since 1922. The British and overseas Royal Families are invited as well                               as heads of the government, people from the world of tennis,                                                 commercial partners, British armed forces and prominent media                                           organisations.

 

Performance

Wimbledon  is a showcase of all the physical and mental preparation that elite athletes go through to perform  on  one of the biggest stages in sport. 

Behind the scenes performance experts like, nutritionists, coaches, physiotherapists and more, play a crucial role in helping players manage pressure, prevent injury and master their explosive movements on the court. 

 

 

MEDIA

The Championships attract a large crowd of fans as well as the media. Every year hundreds of broadcasters, journalists, photographers and other creators descend on the club to cover the action on the courts. 

Members of various media organisations work hard to provide commentary, capture match highlights, and conduct interviews.

GROUNDWORK

From growing and maintaining the world’s most famous grass courts to building temporary fan zones and hospitality suites, the groundwork is what makes the sporting spectacle possible. 

The grass itself is cut to 8mm and monitored to meet elite playing standards
